We’re at Episode three of Crosstalk. On this episode viewers are forced to ask important questions. One all too familiar, “Is life more difficult for a man or a woman?” Societal struggles and physical struggles are two directions that tug on viewers’ minds as they attempt to answer this question.

This episode deals with masculinity; what a man is allowed to do as well as, what is expected of him. Viewers also get to hear opinions regarding women’s duties as wives, women’s roles as mothers and being able to maintain a balance with work life.

The show also gets into the stigmas and double standards laid out for the sexes. We hear from the ladies what they believe women can do and from the men what they see as “unfit” for men to do. We know that lesser pay, body objectification, and hormones are a lot in itself for women but how about men? Men can’t cry, they must be strong at all times and not show vulnerability. It’s just not a thing for them in today’s society. At least that’s some of the beliefs discussed on the show.

One thing that can be agreed on is that society influences us into believing that both sexes have to fit a mold. Both have it hard at the end of the day. Ultimately, you are left to to decide who has it harder. Men or women?
